How far is our office from Sunnyslope?
About five miles by road. Sunnyslope runs along the 7th Street and Central Avenue corridors below the "S" on Sunnyslope Mountain, and our office sits on 35th Avenue between Dunlap and Peoria, about a mile west of I-17, at 10209 N 35th Ave Ste 129B, Phoenix, AZ 85051. Dunlap Avenue connects the two in a straight line, which is why the trip usually takes 10 to 15 minutes and not much more. That holds for both the 85020 and 85021 sides of the neighborhood.
If you know HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center on Dunlap east of Central, you already know the road. Keep heading west on it and you'll reach 35th Avenue.

Same-day emergency dental care for Sunnyslope patients
Some dental problems can wait for a routine appointment. A tooth that throbs with every heartbeat, or a swelling that showed up overnight, can't, and our dentists see those the same day, Monday through Saturday.
The easiest way in is to call. A live person answers at any hour, and during office hours you'll get a time that same day. If you'd rather just drive over, walk-ins are welcome; calling ahead simply lets us have a room ready when you arrive. Once you're here, the exam and diagnostic X-rays happen first, so our dentists know exactly which tooth is the problem and how deep it goes before anyone starts treatment.
Everything from a lost crown to a surgical extraction is done in our own office. You won't be handed a slip and sent to a different address. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 7am to 5pm, with the phone answered 24/7.

Saturday hours are the same as weekday hours, 7am to 5pm. If a filling drops out some Friday evening near 7th Street, you don't have to spend the weekend chewing on one side. Drive over Saturday morning, or call first and pick a time.

What an emergency dental visit costs for Sunnyslope patients
Every emergency visit starts the same way: a $45 exam with diagnostic X-rays. After the X-rays, our dentists explain what they found and what fixing it will cost, and that conversation happens before any work begins. Treatment costs are separate from the $45, and you'll know the number before you say yes to anything.
We accept cash and most major PPO plans, including Cigna, Aetna, Delta Dental, Guardian, and Principal, and we offer payment plans through CareCredit, Cherry, and HFD. The cost and insurance page shows how the exam leads to a written price.
Getting here from Sunnyslope
Take Dunlap Avenue west from Central Avenue or 7th Street. Stay on Dunlap through the I-17 interchange (that's exit 207 if you happen to be on the freeway) and continue about a mile to 35th Avenue. Turn right to go north. The office is on 35th Avenue before Peoria Avenue, and parking is on site.
Peoria Avenue works too. Take it west to 35th Avenue and turn left to go south; we're between Peoria and Dunlap.
Emergency dental services for Sunnyslope patients
A toothache that's gone from annoying to unbearable is reason enough to come in today; the X-ray usually shows whether it's a deep cavity or an infection at the root. If the problem is an abscess, draining it and treating the infection is done here, the same visit. A tooth knocked loose or out entirely, say on a trail up "S" Mountain, should ride to us in milk or your own saliva, out of the heat; our knocked-out tooth page lists the steps. When the nerve is involved, an emergency root canal can often save the tooth, and the $45 exam and X-rays show whether it can be saved before you decide.

We do, from 7am to 5pm, the same as every other day we're open. Calling ahead means a room is ready when you get here; walking in means we fit you into that day's schedule. The $45 exam fee applies on Saturday as on any other day.
What if my tooth is knocked out on a hot afternoon?
Hold it by the chewing surface, never the root. Milk or your own saliva keeps the root cells alive; a hot dashboard dries them out. Phone (602) 737-2446 before you start the 10 to 15 minute drive so a room is ready, since a tooth replanted quickly has the strongest chance of reattaching.
